A DoorDash driver has been slapped with charges after they mistakenly drove into a swamp while following GPS directions to deliver a customer’s Dunkin Donuts order.

The driver, whose name has not been released, claims they were cruising down a road in Middleton, Massachusetts, when their GPS routed them to a “dirt road” and they “somehow ended up driving into a body of water” around noon, the Middleton Police Department said in a statement.

With donuts in hand, the panicked driver managed to get out of the vehicle and walk to a nearby home on Kenney Road, where they called police.

They told officers they had been trying to get to Mill Street, but somehow ended up being routed to “driving into a body of water.”

Police found the partially submerged vehicle on a dirt road behind 18 Kenney Road with the motor “still running.”

“The operator then requested to be transported to the hospital,” Middleton police said.

The driver has been charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a request for an immediate threat license suspension was filed, according to police.
